We want you to have a blast with our fireworks, but we also want you to be safe. Here are some fireworks safety tips from the National Council on Fireworks Safety.
Obey local laws regarding the use of fireworks.
Know your fireworks. Read the labels and performance descriptions before igniting.
Be sure a responsible adult is supervising all fireworks activities and never give fireworks to children.
Save alcohol consumption for after the show.
Wear safety glasses when shooting fireworks.
Light one firework at a time and quickly move away.
Use fireworks outdoors in a clear area, away from buildings and vehicles.
Never relight a “dud” firework. If you have a dud, wait 20 minutes and soak it in a bucket of water.
Have a bucket of water and working water hose nearby.
Don’t carry fireworks in your pocket or shoot them into metal or glass containers.
Dispose of spent fireworks by wetting them down and putting them in a metal trash can away from any building or combustible materials until the next day.
Report illegal explosives like M-80s and quarter sticks to your local fire or police department.
Remember: Don’t experiment with homemade fireworks. Get high-quality products from a reputable fireworks store like King Kong Fireworks!
